FRISCO POLICE REQUEST ASSISTANCE WITH INFORMATION ABOUT SMASH AND GRAB ROBBERY |
(August 14, 2008) The Frisco Police Department is requesting citizen assistance with information leading to the persons responsible for the smash and grab robbery that occurred Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Ben Bridge Jewelers. The store is located inside Stonebriar Centre. Frisco police have released in-store robbery video and 911 calls to the media.
Five black males entered the jewelry store. While suspect #2 held the unarmed security guard, the other four suspects smashed the display cases with what appeared to be mallets, and took property, including Rolex watches. There were no reported injuries, and no weapons were displayed during the commission of the robbery. PROPOSED STEWART CREEK WASTWATER TREATMENT PLANT TO BE DISCUSSED AT PUBLIC MEETING ON AUGUST 21
(August 12, 2008) The City of Frisco and North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) will be holding a meeting with the Stewart Creek Estates HOA to provide information about the proposed expansion of the Stewart Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant on Thursday, August 21 beginning at 7 p.m. at Bledsoe Elementary School, 1900 Timber Ridge Drive in Frisco.
The agenda will include a presentation on the history of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and proposed expansion. Staff from NTMWD will discuss plant operations related to current odor control and future improvements. Possibilities for retrofitting the existing areas of the plant with additional controls will be discussed. Information on the timeline for acquiring a permit to expand will be provided along with public notice requirements.
